Early Childhood Developmental Class For children 0-6 years. Information for Families, Carers and Health Care Professionals A: What services are available? Individualised education programs with access to: Physiotherapy Occupational Therapy Speech Pathology Specialised equipment Psychometric Assessment B: The ECDC will: Liaise with schools with Prep classes, day-care centres, kindergartens, doctors and other agencies to provide support for our children Assist in the transition to Prep and school. C: What is the ECDC? Early Childhood Development Class (E.C.D. C.) provides educational programs and support for children with special needs before they begin school. Children between the ages of 3 and 6 years attend a centre-based program. Children aged from birth to 3 years old attend a weekly playgroup at the centre. D: Who attends the class? We support children with one or more of the following disabilities: Autistic Spectrum Disorder Hearing Impairment Intellectual Impairment Physical Impairment Speech Language Impairment Visual Impairment E: Referrals To attend our centre children require a referral from one of the following: Doctors Guidance Officers Psychologists Teachers Therapists Other Agencies For more information please contact the Caboolture East State School.
